Mrs. Felecia Jones
Dear Berkmar Middle School Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! My journey in education began right in a sixth-grade classroom, and today, after more than 27 years as an educator, my heart is still firmly rooted in helping middle schoolers discover who they are. As your principal, my daily mission is to ensure Berkmar is a place where your child feels truly seen, safe, and excited to learn. I believe that real education happens when we build strong relationships first, which is why I am so eager to partner with your family this year. Thank you for welcoming me into your community and entrusting us with your children. Let’s make this an incredible year together!
We are respectful. We are responsible. We are ready. WE ARE BERKMAR!
In partnership and service,
Felecia Jones

Ms. Ashley Bolton
I am excited to continue serving the Berkmar Middle School community as your 6th-grade Assistant Principal! This marks my fourth year at Berkmar, and I am thrilled to be a part of this incredible family. At my core, I believe that every single student should feel a deep sense of belonging as they walk through our doors. Our school must be a place where all students feel genuinely welcome, safe, and valued - knowing that their presence makes Berkmar a better place and a truly vibrant environment for learning.
As a proud product of Gwinnett County Public Schools—having attended Lilburn Elementary, Lilburn Middle, and graduating from Parkview High School—I have dedicated my 24-year career to GCPS. My experience includes 14 years as a high school math teacher at Peachtree Ridge and Parkview, followed by six years as an assistant principal at Pinckneyville Middle.
I hold a Bachelor’s (UGA) and Master’s (Piedmont College) in Secondary Mathematics Education, an Ed.S. in Educational Psychology from UGA, and I am currently pursuing a doctorate in Education Policy Studies at Georgia State University.
I look forward to partnering with our wonderful Berkmar community to ensure a fantastic school year. Together, we will celebrate a year filled with learning, leadership, and growth for all our students!
Start as a Patriot - End as a Patriot! Go Berkmar!

Mrs. Carrie Keane
It is an honor to serve Berkmar Middle School as an Assistant Principal. I am grateful to be part of such a dedicated community of students, staff, and families.
My career in education has included roles as a special education teacher, general education teacher, instructional specialist, and assistant principal in both Fulton County and Gwinnett County. I spent eight years teaching at Berkmar Middle School before serving as a district-level instructional specialist and returning to Berkmar as an administrator.
I hold a bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia, two master's degrees from Georgia State University, and an Educational Leadership certificate from the University of West Georgia. Outside of education, I enjoy spending time with my two young daughters.
I am passionate about supporting all students and look forward to continuing to partner with our families and staff to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Go Patriots!

Mr. Brian Sinyard
It is an honor to serve Berkmar Middle School as the 8th grade Assistant Principal. I am excited to be part of such a dedicated and talented team of educators.
This year marks my 24th year in education as a proud GCPS educator. My teaching career began at Rockbridge Elementary and continued at Chattahoochee Elementary. I later served as an instructional coach at Simonton Elementary and, most recently, as a Mathematics Instructional Specialist in the GCPS Office of Mathematics.
Throughout my career, I have been passionate about supporting students, teachers, and school communities in achieving excellence. I look forward to building strong partnerships with each of you as we work together to provide our students with positive, rigorous, and meaningful learning experiences.
Go Patriots!

Ms. Lineica Maupins
I am excited to return to Berkmar Middle School as an Assistant Principal. I began my journey with Gwinnett County Public Schools in 2009, and throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience and insights that continue to shape my work with students, staff, and families.
I firmly believe that all students can learn and succeed when we set high expectations and provide the right support. By meeting students where they are and leading with empathy, compassion, and preparedness, we create an environment where every student can thrive.
I look forward to partnering with our school community to support the success and growth of every Patriot.
