Mrs. Felecia Jones
Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year!
Each new school year brings a fresh start, and I'm honored to begin this one with a renewed focus on relationships, academic excellence, and shared success.
With over 26 years in education, beginning as a sixth-grade teacher, my commitment has remained the same: to positively impact students' lives through meaningful relationships, high expectations, and engaging, rigorous instruction that prepares them for future success.
It's an honor to serve as principal of such a vibrant and diverse community. At our school, every student's story, culture, and experiences are valued and respected. Our students are bright, resilient, and full of promise, and our amazing staff is fully committed to helping them grow into thoughtful, confident leaders who think critically, strive for excellence, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
At Berkmar Middle School, our goal is to create an environment where every student not only achieves academically but also develops confidence, character, and a strong sense of belonging. Whether your child is entering middle school for the first time or stepping into their final year with us, we are here to ensure they are safe, supported, and challenged. We want each student to feel ready for the day, be respectful of themselves and others, and take responsibility for their learning and the choices they make.
At the heart of our work is The Power of We, the belief that together, we can build a school where every student thrives. Together, we build successful schools through strong, consistent partnerships between home and school. When families and educators work together, students are better supported and more inspired to reach their full potential.
We invite you to stay involved through our Parent Center, join the PTSA, explore volunteer opportunities, and engage in daily conversations with your child. Your engagement and support drive our collective success. We're here to partner with you every step of the way.
Thank you for entrusting us with your precious children. We are proud to serve them and you. Let's make 2025–2026 our best year yet.
We are respectful, we are responsible, and we are ready. WE ARE BERKMAR!
In partnership and service,
Felecia Jones

Ms. Ashley Bolton
I am excited to serve Berkmar Middle School as the 6th grade Assistant Principal! This is my third year at Berkmar and I love being a part of the family.
Growing up in the original Berkmar cluster, I went to Lilburn Elementary and Lilburn Middle before it was rezoned for Meadowcreek High School. Graduating from Parkview High School, I only left Gwinnett County for my four years of college at the University of Georgia.
The 2025-2026 school year will be my 23nd year in education, with 15 years as a math teacher at Peachtree Ridge and Parkview High Schools and six years at Pinckneyville Middle School as an assistant principal before coming to Berkmar.
I look forward to working with the students and families to see the learning and growth that will take place this year.
Start as a Patriot, End as a Patriot! Go Berkmar!

Mrs. Carrie Keane
Mrs. Keane's journey in the field of education has been marked by a deep commitment to ensuring that all students are given equitable access to education to ensure their success. Ms. Keane holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia and two master's degrees from Georgia State University. She is currently working towards her educational doctorate in Reading and Literacy.
Mrs. Keane has served as a special education teacher, general education teacher, and instructional specialist in Fulton County and Gwinnett County. She spent eight years as a teacher at Berkmar Middle School before transitioning to the district level as an instructional specialist. She is thrilled to return to Berkmar Middle School as an assistant principal, where she plans to bring with her a commitment to serving all students and families. Outside of work, Ms. Keane enjoys spending time with her two young daughters.

Mr. Brian Sinyard
It is an honor to serve Berkmar Middle School as the 8th-grade Assistant Principal. I am thrilled to join such a dedicated and talented team of educators.
This year marks my 23rd year in GCPS. My career began at Rockbridge Elementary and continued at Chattahoochee Elementary. I later served as an instructional coach at Simonton Elementary and, most recently, as a math instructional specialist in the GCPS Office of Mathematics.
I look forward to building strong partnerships with each of you as we work together to provide our students with positive, rigorous, and meaningful learning experiences.
Go Patriots!
