Digital Learning Days

GCPS has Digital Learning Days (DLDs) built into the school calendar. On these days, all students will learn from home, completing assignments at their own pace. Students should plan ahead to ensure they have their district-issued devices at home for Digital Learning Days.

During the school year, teachers will share additional information with students about Digital Learning Days, including how they will support student learning during the day. (For example, some teachers may set up a discussion board while others may use online conference tools or be available via phone). Parents and students who need a refresher course on how to access Google Classroom can go to the district website for helpful resources and information.

How does an Inclement Weather Digital Learning Day work?

• Berkmar Middle School teachers will post assignments by 9:00 a.m. on Google Classroom course pages.
• Students will log in to their student portal (Launchpad) and visit the Google Classroom for each of class to access assignments, resources, and other materials.
• Students will complete and submit assignments as directed in Google Classroom.
